Carter was a pleasure to work with. Initially I came in to browse and see what vehicles would be an option for me, and throughout the process he was very helpful, listened to my wants for a vehicle, attentive, knowledgeable and clearly willing to go the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied with the assistance we were receiving as well as what we needed to make the trade in happen. Unlike most dealerships where you feel like most sales people are diving in just so they can obtain the sale and be pushy, we had the most amazing experience and not once did I feel like this was a forced sale. He truly wanted to make sure the vehicle we left with was one I can be happy with long term and the deal happened very smooth and quick. I am a very happy customer. Highly recommend coming here for a vehicle, make sure you ask for Carter.

Camelback Volkswagen sold me a car with a misfiring engine and a hood that flaps up on the freeway. My car failed the week after my first car payment. I brought it in for repair as directed by the salesperson who sold me the car, Kevin. I paid $160 for a diagnostic and was sent to another dealership with my broken car because they couldn’t fix it. Now I’m looking at close to $1000 in repairs, an additional diagnostic fee and no promise that the problem won’t persist.
I also think it is helpful to mention my car payment is DOUBLE what they promised when I signed the papers. Stay far away from this dealership and probably the others on camelback. Kevin was sure to mention the whole block is owned by the same person. Save yourself some money and a huge headache and thank me later. This dealership and the customer service is nothing but disappointing.

My wife had initially leased her car from here before we were married. Her process was great, fair price, good customer service etc. That salesman that helped her left for another dealership and when it came time to do her lease buyout we went to go buyout the car through a new salesperson.

This is where our experience changed. I understand that everyone involved in the sale needs to be making some money, but I was not about to pay an extra $2500 for their “mandatory certification” on top of all of their dealer fees effectively making it $3000 more than the residual on the lease I spoke with the salesperson manger and the manger for the dealership before finally leaving because they wouldn’t budge. They told me there was no flexibility and it was mandatory I pay their fees if I wanted to a lease buyout and it would be the same everywhere. I requested to see in their policy with VW or in state and federal law where this “mandatory fee” is required and required to be at that level all they provided was a internal memo stating that they are not allowed to put doc fees and other dealer fees on sales without following criteria.

The process through VW Credit is considerably cheaper paying at residual but requires some more steps on the buyers part so I decided to still go the dealer route. But at a different dealer whose fees were not absurd. I paid $500 for their certification and lower doc fees by taking it somewhere else. I recommend no one buy a car from Camelback VW, their entire staff was rude unprofessional and only cared about was their bottom line and not making sure the customer has a positive experience and generates references. They rely on Phoenix being a big enough market that no matter how many people they screw over there will
be more willing to by a car from them.

Hi so I wanted to come and leave an honest review as I’m someone that sometimes makes decisions about where I do business based off the reviews. I came to this dealership from a mailing that I had received in the mail after filing for bankruptcy. Based off the letter I was led to believe that they had a “great” program for those like myself it was stated that they had zero down and that I would get a $250 gift card once I got the vehicle. I don’t remember the sales person I worked with now as it’s been a few months, but when I came in I specifically stated I wanted “zero down” and my car payment not to be over $400. I had just given up a vehicle in my bankruptcy so it wouldn’t make sense to start over with a car note higher than before. Needless to say my car note is $82 more than I paid before, I had to put a down payment of $500+, and I never received a $250 gift card. I left out that Saturday understanding that I would be paying a certain amount, but then I got a call that following Monday from Tyler stating that the dealership was able to get my car note down some. I was happy with that because I knew I wasn’t 100% comfortable with the amount I had signed for. Well long story short the finance company ended up telling me a whole different amount then what he had just told me it was lowered too and ultimately my car note was in fact NEVER lowered at all and I was stuck still paying the original amount I signed for. That wasn’t a great experience to me and it made me feel that there was some type of deception going on, but no matter what I signed the document so I didn’t have a leg to stand on. Of course I brought this up to a sales manager at the location, but nothing changed. Then onto the next issue when I got the car it had a real bad shake and a few other minor issues I wasn’t too concerned initially because I purchased the warranty and was told if I had any issues to contact service and it could be taken care of under my warranty. What I wasn’t told was that you couldn’t use the warranty for 90 days ?. The document I signed for the warranty doesn’t mention that neither does any of my paperwork. I went back and forth a little with service and sales and ultimately my car is still very much shaking 60+ days later. So I’m not happy that I’ve had to deal with the issue of needing motor mounts this whole time since I got the car March 23rd because I have yet to make it to my 90 days. As soon as my 90 days hit I’ll be taking the car back in to have them replaced immediately. My experience with the service department hasn’t been the best either I really didn’t feel heard or believed as every single issue that I brought up to them right after I got my car was Discredited except the motor mounts. Hopefully my experience with the service department improves for the future we’ll see. Lastly if you can stay away from Prestige Financial that’s who my loan is through you can’t make additional principle payments or pay bi weekly. I will be refinancing just as soon as I can. Overall, I don’t feel that this experience was the best it could’ve been it didn’t leave me in a better financial situation than I was before the bankruptcy just be mindful, patient, and do your research. Also this will be my last time purchasing a car from a sales incentive dealership you can really tell the difference from the dealerships that don’t make commission from those that do. At first I wasn't really happy to come in on my service dates or for service issues. But, I been working with my go to service advisor Steven and he's been very helpful, attentive, respectful. And provides great customer service. I drive from buckeye AZ to get my car serviced with them.

Zero stars if I could. Don’t waste your time here. I came in wanting a particular car and then after test driving and falling in love with it, they told me they couldn’t sell it to me since they had already my the decision to send it to auction. Then they pushed another car on me, which i eventually wrapped my mind around. They asked to run my credit, and I agreed, then, nothing. GHOST. Don’t come here, go absolutely anywhere else. My car search continues.
