We brought our 2015 Passat to the Volkswagen dealership for a used car inspection. The service dapartment noted 3,600 in repairs which we had done. A few months later we brough it back again because her coolant was leaking. They told us the coolant pump thermostat housing was leaking and would cost 2,000 to repair. They also said her lower control arm bushings were cracked and coming apart and will need replace for another 2,100 plus an alignment is crtically needed, 200 bucks. We didnt have them complete the services and got a second opinion. Another mechanic inspected her bushings and said they are not falling apart and don't need to be replaced. We also took her car to Les Scwab for new tires and they said her car is perfectly aligned and no need for an alignment. Beware of this service department. Had we not had multiple other places look at her car we would have paid 4,200 in repairs, instead we paid 150. Seriously dissappointed in Volkswagen.

This shop simply keeps delivering. They are consistently professional, courteous, and available. They honor my warranty so drama-free and no fuss on a new 6-speed Jetta which I didn't even buy from them, and the original dealership's service shop where I bought the Jetta from, couldn't even answer a call all day... I've been a customer of this VW location for years and they are trustworthy for sure. I had to drop off my car a day prior to the actual appointment time due to personal schedule, telling them they didn't have to look at it until the following day, and boom there it went they just did it as soon as they got it and got back to me within a few hours and ordered new part immediately. Just amazing.

All my past services with them were also done like a clockwork and always in a timely fashion. I don't know what the other customers were claiming, but speaking from my own personal experience, VW of Olympia has been consistently good. Also maybe sometimes it's better off to just drop off the vehicle instead of waiting there, since they also got the courtesy vehicle to drive you home if within a certain distance. Competent mechanics are hard to come by which this shop has, and once they work on your vehicle you can be rest assured that the work is done right. Afterall it's a German-designed brand and things can be just a tad quirky to work on from time to time in my opinion.

Sad day we have been getting all our VW serviced at VW Olympia since 2017.Last couple years Oil changes have been going up every time. Now they are $160 and no coupons! I decided to go to the Honda dealership, saved $85 with same inspections. Will keep my eye on pricing as I really like the service team!

I represent vulnerable people in court and sometimes perps don't like that. Recently one jimmied the door latch on my car, so that it wouldn't close. I brought it down to VW of Olympia service department and Scott went out to the car and pried the door lock back into operating condition, right then and there. Without charge! Truly wonderful service. Thanks

There were multiple concerns that I had with this series of visits. When I was on the phone or in person speaking with staff, I felt that there were multiple instances of the staff members "giving me the run around". I did not get any assistance with trying to arrange my RoadVantage claim for my windshield, which this dealership has helped me with in the past. I was unable on multiple visits to receive a rental car, making it very difficult to get to my job as an Emergency Department RN, and when asking for a rental car, I felt that I was being treated with disdain and frustration by multiple staff members. When I dropped off my car for the agreed upon second date for fixing of multiple problems, I was informed that my parts had not actually been ordered. When I picked up my car, they informed me they still had not and were not going to be able to assist with the windshield replacement even though I had been told when I dropped off my vehicle that they would.

3 hours for an oil change. If you have a maintenance package they don't look they just ask to charge instantly no check.

I drove an hour to be serviced here it'll never happen again. Worse than a mom and pop. 8 salesman just stand around looming. Again 3 hour oil change. I had time to just be amazed at operations here.

Unprofessional look, and just looks like the service department is keeping it alive. Just disgusting how they handled it too.

UPDATE:
Even worse, VP gives me their generic number in a fake review reply to act as if it's being handled. This place is ridiculous. McDonalds has better Customer Service.

I thought the overall service was great, and the final result wa satisfying. The service team was able to coordinate a repair through a third party extended warranty, that I really did not believe was going to be covered. Thank You! The only challenges I had were in communication. I spoke with several representatives that were all helpful and professional, but given the number of people I talked to, there was not an individual familiarity with my service. Also, several calls went to voicemail, with delayed responses. Again, the final product was good though, and I appreciate the team's collective diligence.

Nice people but it is so difficult to get information. Calls are mostly never answered and go to voicemail. Then no one calls you back so you end up calling and calling until eventually someone answers. They have a texting system but don't respond very much to that either. It became exhausting just to get an update.
